To help showcase the great burgers served in local area restaurants, the BurgerJunkies.com burger review blog will be giving away this Canon EOS Rebel T3 DSLR Digital Camera to one lucky Sacramento area diner who tweets the #sacburgermonth hashtag.

Tweet using any of your favorite apps! Here are a few fun examples:

National Hamburger Month starts today!

May is National Hamburger Month.

The history of this celebration is a bit of a mystery. It seems to have started several years ago as a marketing campaign for the White Castle Hamburger chain. Over the years as the popularity of the great American Burger has increased, the popularity of the idea of a whole month dedicated to the burger has steamrolled right along with it.

Locally, here in Sacramento, CA, my own BurgerJunkies.com burger blog has teamed up with de Vere’s Irish Pub to bring Sacramento some #sacburgermonth tasty burgers and fun contests!

You don’t have a be a restaurant or a burger chain to celebrate National Hamburger Month or #sacburgermonth.  Each time you fire up the backyard grill this month for some home grilled burger goodness or dine out at your favorite burger joint, take a second to be thankful for whoever created the idea of ground beef between to beautiful buns!
